Justin Lai, MPH is a healthcare service designer working at the intersection of design, technology, and emotional intelligence, and is currently exploring how we might harness design in novel and profound ways to facilitate a greater sense of community and self.

Some of his projects have included reducing the door to needle time for stroke patients, reimagining the assistive technology ecosystem with the hard of hearing community, and developing novel approaches for local government agencies tackling the opioid crisis.

He completed his BA in Design at Loyola Marymount University, and his Master’s degree in Health Policy and Management at the Boston University School of Public Health.

Former projects include Boehringer Ingelheim, The White House Office of Science, Technology, and Policy, The Accreditation Council of Continuing Medical Education, Eli Lilly, Amgen, and the United States Department of Health and Human Services.
